System Resource Controller

• SRC is a central daemon process which controlls the functions of other system daemons
• Useful commands:
  • lssrc - List subsystems and their current status.
  • startsrc - Start a subsystem.
  • stopsrc - Stop a subsystem.
• Note: some freeware daemons, such as sendmail, do not integrate easily into SRC. They are usually just run standalone.
